Released in 2019, ADP (Arceus, Dialga, and Palkia GX) is one of the newest cards in the Pokémon TCG. Yet, it has seen many use in the Pokémon TCG. Now that Sword and Shield cards are out, ADP is one of the biggest threats in the meta game. Its moves are just so overwhelming. Its normal attack already does 150 damage, all the more that you can search and attach up to 3 basic energy cards to your Pokémon in any way. Its GX attack, Altered Creation, is even more dangerous. Your Pokémon do 30 more damage to the opponent, and if they’re knocked out, you take one more price card. Which means, if you knock out an opposing Tag Team GX with Altered Creation in effect, you take 4 prize cards!

Here are cards that help “Alter Creation”, and by creation, I mean help ADP dominate the current meta.
1. Zacian V (Sword and Shield Base Set)
Just from the prereleases of the base set of Sword and Shield, many ADP + Zacian V decks have popped up. In Japan, it has seen great tournament success. The strategy is simple. Activate ADP’s Altered Creation ASAP. We want Zacian V to deal as much damage as possible with 30 damage bonus + Intrepid Sword. Heck, Zacian V can even get the prize cards quick. Metal Frying Pan helps Zacian V against fire type decks, now that Resistance is now – 30 damage. We will continue seeing these two dominating the meta for a while.
2. Absol
Absol, with its Dark Ambition Abiliy, will be able to disrupt many Jirachi strategies. This single energy can be devastating as the attacks of ADP or even Zacian V might need that one extra stall to hit for massive number. Also take note that you can stack this ability just, just make sure they’re unharmed as they can be knocked out for an easy prize card (two if they play ADP).
Other Noteworthy Cards Include:
1. Tag Call – In order to implement your strategy right away, use Tag Call to get ADP on play immediately. (A must have really in all decks)
2. Lucario & Melmetal GX – This Tag Team is useful against Fairy type decks (Fairies still in the format until 2021.), especially Gardevoir and Sylveon GX.
ADP with it’s reality altering (no pun intended), GX attack can really put you in an advantageous state. Combine this card with crazily powerful attackers like Zacian V and reap that precious prize card.
